Which of the following herbs can be used to clear heat toxicity, treating such conditions as carbuncles, sores, or sore throat?
Gan Cao clears heat and resolves toxicity. It can be used both internally and externally for this purpose, but it must be used in its unprepared form (i.e. not Zhi Gan Cao).
