Herbs 1 Case Studies

1/34
Your patient presents with high fever that worsens at night, severe irritability, thirst, and indistinct faint rashes. The tongue is scarlet and dry; the pulse is thin and rapid. You diagnose him with Ying (nutritive) level heat. What herbs would you prescribe?
These herbs all appear in Qing Ying Tang (Clear the Nutritive-Level Decoction). Even though this is heat at the Ying level, we still use herbs from the category Herbs that Cool the Blood.
